Hula hoops by the bayou from last year.
Just like last year there will be lots to do for kids at the Bayou Boogaloo. There will be a children’s area with a performance stage and plenty of activities. There will be painting, storytelling, crafts and much more.
This is a family event. Please bring your children and enjoy the day.

A photo of you, me and everybody, at the 1st Annual Bayou Boogaloo.
Volunteer for the Bayou Boogaloo. We need volunteers to help us set up, tear down, and carry stuff around. If you ever dreamt of listening to live music while you shlep ice, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. You can tell the world you’re going to volunteer by leaving a comment in the comments section of this post.
Here’s how you can help.
- Set up: Place the trash cans, signs, parking pylons. Pitch tents and booths. Move chairs and tables. Have an all around good time.
- Safety: Greet people as they arrive. Ask them to leave their coolers behind. Keep the kids from playing with shiny audio equipment. Know the no-no’s and nag accordingly. Have an all around good time.

We are thrilled to announce that the Mid City Art Market will be back at The Bayou Boogaloo this year.
The Bayou Boogaloo is more than food and music. Help us support our local artists at the festival.
